Third Wave Foundation
The Third Wave Foundation is a national foundation that supports the vision and leadership of young women and transgender youth ages 15 to 30, using a feminist lens which reflects the diversity of that generation. When The Sister Fund incubated Third Wave over a decade ago, there simply were not enough dollars supporting work led by young women or transgender youth; a gender analysis was missing in alarming ways from various social justice movements; and feminist movements continued to struggle with concerns of race and class. Since then, Third Wave has become the leader in youth re-granting institutions, carving deep relationships with youth leaders working at the grassroots level.
