I, along with my colleagues Auburn President Katharine Henderson and one of the UCC God Is Still Speaking campaign creators Ron Buford, had the privilege of facilitating a conversation at the Sister Fund with 40 or so women and friends about faith and women's full equality - a conversation that created the fire that cooked up the Healers of Our Time campaign.

My husband and I have two young daughters. Misogyny is a radical threat to the dreams my heart holds for my girls and the dreams we hold for their birth mothers - one in the US and the other abroad. My prayer, my vision, shall I be so bold as to say - my premonition - is that my daughters, their gay dads and their birth mothers will some day lock arms for the liberation of all women and girls and the children they bear - which of course means all people - and that the H.O.T. campaign is part of that which brings us together to stand up for our own well-being as well as for the flourishing of our entire global family.
