Founded in 1971, Sojourners/Call to Renewal (CTR) is among the most influential Christian groups counteracting the political and religious right and mobilizing millions of Christians behind progressive causes. Sojourners/CTR has a unique ability to bring together evangelicals, interfaith groups, Catholics, Protestants, and African-American, Latino and Asian-American faith groups. It is engaging Evangelicals and Catholics on a scale unmatched by any other progressive organization.

In order to improve its relationship with these entities, Sojourners/CTR is proposing to have a diversity assessment done on its organization, with a special focus on racial/ethnic and gender issues, and to support leadership development for women on its staff.
