The Matilda Joslyn Gage Foundation is dedicated to educating current and future generations about Gage's work and its power to drive contemporary social change. Matilda Joslyn Gage herself was regarded as "one of the most logical, fearless and scientific writers of her day." Along with Elizabeth Cady Stanton, she authored the major documents of the National American Woman Suffrage Association (1869-1889). The two women shared leadership positions in the organization with Susan B. Anthony.
The Underground Railroad/Slavery Today education program and Religious Freedom/Feminist Spirituality program are developing simultaneously as different stakeholder groups meet and discuss. The Education and Museum Committees, with staff, consultants and partners, are developing an interpretive dialogue program on the underground railroad and slavery today.
