The Institute for Women’s Policy Research (IWPR) is an independent, nonprofit scientific research organization established in 1987 to inform and stimulate public debate about the lives of women and girls. Its research addresses issues of race, ethnicity and socioeconomic status and focuses on policies and practices that help women achieve equality and autonomy, including ways to increase civic and political participation.
The Sister Fund grant supported their project "Acting on Faith: Creating Opportunities for Dialogue about Religion, Women’s Movements and Social Justice." The project was made up of: 1) a Listening Tour of Community Forums; and 2) a Younger Women’s Strategy Meeting.
