| September 22, 2010 10:00am - 1:00pm New York, NY Please join CONNECT for a film discussion on Jean Kilbourne’s new film Killing Us Softly 4. This film is part of the successful and popular Killing Us Softly series that critically looks at how advertising exploits and misrepresents women and girls. Killing Us Softly adds new print and television advertisements to lay bare a stunning pattern of damaging gender stereotypes—images and messages that too often reinforce unrealistic, and unhealthy, perceptions of beauty, perfection, and sexuality as well as contribute to violence against women. |
